How literature and writing can provide stress relief:

When thinking of reading, one might not think of “stress-relief” or “de-stressing” right away. In fact, the word might bring up some anxiety or hesitance, thanks to the assigned readings and deadlines for school. However, outside of reading for an assignment or with the pressure of a deadline, reading can actually have many stress-relieving benefits.
